Well deserved drink!

Photobucket

Apple Sangria at Apple Bee's.  This drink tasted really good, and was well deserved after the longest week ever!  Husband has been sick all week long to the point of coming home from work, showering, eating soup, taking meds and going straight to bed by 6:30p.m. at the latest.  Leaving me to clean up the kitchen, bathe the baby, feed the baby, clean up the bathroom after baby's bath, clean up cat toliet's and put baby down for the night.  All last week I didn't get to bed any eariler than 11:00 because I wanted to take my shower, and unwind a little as well.

Today when I woke up by the baby's screaming because of the massive pee diaper I have ever had to change.  I realized my husband wasn't home, he left early to get himself some breakfast and didn't bother to bring me anything.  To top it off he leaves me with no car but left the motorcycle.  Yeah, that's going to work with a 1 1/2 year old, thanks for stranding me douche bag!  I see you're feeling much better by some miracle that allowed you to get up at the ass crack of dawn.  Thanks for not staying home to tend to the baby so that maybe I could sleep in a little and get some much needed rest, god forbide I get any sleep.

Thank you for coming back in time to ruin the baby's sleep cycle as you couldn't wait for the baby to take a nap and wake up before draging us all over town, that should make for an interesting tomorrow.  I'm sure the baby will be super crabby.  And P.S. you always bitch about not being the one to drive and when I tell you I'm too tired to drive you get all whiney about how you drive all day and don't want to do it on your days off or it's too dark outside and you can't see through the tinted windows.  :-P

Although you drive me completely insane and gave me a wicked eye twitching spasam thing,  you can actually be fun to be around.  I'd like it if you could be that guy more often and not the mindless dumbass that does shit on purpose to just screw with my head.  We have so much fun together when you're not doing stupid shit to piss me off.  Lets try to get that guy to come around more often for both of our sanity.  Thank you!

Disorderly Conduct

So what do you tell your friend after a night like tonight.  She is an amazing person but when she has a drink she becomes someone else.  Not a mean drunk but rather a sensitive weepy/silly drunk.  This person doesn't know anyone at the poker party that you're invited to and the group needs a sub because one of the regulars can't make it so you ask your pal because it would be cool to have your friend there.

You're not one to watch someone else's liquor because it's not your job and they carpooled with you so no worries about them getting behind the wheel.  But you are humiliated that they are calling people a-holes in a round about way telling certain people over and over that they love them.  Use your cell phone to text their boy friend as they don't have a cell phone at the moment for financial reasons and when you see the texts later you're like f**k I have to text this poor sap back and let him know his girl was drunk and that it's not her phone so that the texting stops before your husband sees and thinks otherwise.  Everyone says they weren't offended and had a great time though. Oye!

After the "party" is over and it's time to go home you worry about them getting sick and puking in your car.  You take a plastic bag or two and have it ready as you drive off with their window down because it's too "hot" in your car when really it's just the booze that has them really warm.  You turn on your gps because you haven't been to your friends new place in a while and it's dark and difficult to find your way out of the little town your in.  They're swearing like a sailor at the gps because they are telling you a story of some kind and the gps is "interrupting" their story, you can't tell what it's about as all the words are slurred together and they're not making any sense what-so-ever.  After what feels like hours (15 minutes) you arrive at their place, they try telling you that they think you're awesome and wonder why you put up with them.  They want to talk to you forever but all you want to do is go home.  So 45 minutes later you get them to get out of the car, you look down at your seat to see what looks like a pee stain and your thought/mantra is over and over I hope that's just bad lighting I hope that's just bad lighting.  When you get out to help them you hear a thump sound and as you make your way around to the other side of the vehicle they are laying on the floor.

Earlier that same day you had done a lot of weight lifting at the gym so your muscles are already sore and tired and it takes every ounce of energy and everything you have to lift them up when you do you are now practically carrying them to the door to their house thinking and hoping to not get robbed, murdered, or raped because you are in ghetto-ville.  They ring the door bell and their roomate whom is older than dirt answers in their old man boxers and that's it with a hard on (you're pretty sure he was watching porn), being that you've had enough you toss her at him and say good night and run like fucking hell hoping your car hasn't been jacked.  To top off your night, when you get home you realize that they did pee in your car, new car at that as it's barely a year old.  So how the f**k do you explain the pee to your husband?  And it hits you, so THIS is why I dislike going to bars and being around those that are freakin hammered out of their mind!

Gym Crazyness

So I have been going to the gym now for at least a month.  And while it's been fun going back to get in shape and have a little me time, I can't help but wonder what people are thinking.  I do not go to the gym at the same time every day so I get the opportunity to see a variety of people, not that, that is my resason for going.  Mainly I go when I get a moment away from the almost 2 year old little monkey.

I LOVE going when it's early and hardly anyone is there because then everything is availalble and there is little distraction.  During the rest of the day it's fairly busy and can be distracting with those meat heads that think throwing their entire body into the weights instead of just using the muscle group that you're suspposed to be using on a machine or the free weights while loudly grunting  is just plain silly and makes me want to laugh.  Then you have little miss perfect walk in with her fake boobs/no bra shit load of make-up parading around in little to nothing flirting with the meat heads.  It's not studio 54, hit the weights, a treadmil, or other exercise machine and work out or go back to working your corner, geez!

The other down fall to working out at the gym when it's busy is having some lunk head telling you that you're lifting incorrectly.  I don't know what exactly the machine is called but it's the one where you're in a sitting position doing leg presses.  He was trying to tell me that I wanted to lock out my knees to get the benefit of lifting the weights.  I may not be a weight lifter, personal trainer, etc but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that if you lock out your knees with that kind of weight you could potentially screw up your knees and or injure yourself pretty good.  Not that I'm one to give advice but I did see an older man running on the treadmil at full speed and then he'd hop onto the sides of the moving belt when he'd get winded and needed a break from the running.  My personal opinion and thought was, why not just slow the belt down manually with the buttons like youre supposed to do to avoid I don't know, falling on your face.  Eventually I had to stop my machine and move on to something else, I didn't want to witness the dumb-ass take a header.  By the way what is up with the men that come in sees all of the treadmils that are available and they have to take a treadmil right next to you, it's creepy and makes me feel more self conscience.  Also what does one say when someone that just starts working out on a treamil next to you says, "You're leaving so soon?  But I just got here, beautiful!"  I would never believe anyone would say that to me but being I was the only one around I knew he was talking to me,  all I could say was, "yup, my hubby is waiting for me." then I pretty much ran like hell and forgot my sweat towel.

Hygeine in general, if you wipe down the machine you have just used take the sanitary wipe with you and toss it in the trash, don't wad it up and stick it in a cup holder or somewhere else where another person is likely to stick their hands or place their belongings in, that's just nasty!  And please for the love of god wipe down the weight machines after you've left your sweat imprints on them it's just common decency.

Tomorrow's workout is a new day, can hardly wait to see what awaits me at the gym tomorrow.  It's almost as interesting as being able to read a book without intteruption from a crazy almost 2 year old.

Little Black Book

I have to wonder how long is it acceptable to keep the little black book. I would think once you get married the little black book should be burned even if the women in those books are just "friends". It's quite annoying to see your spouse still calling and keeping in touch with long ago loves or "friends". It's not about jealousy it's simply about not wanting to know that you're still connected to someone that seems to be more than just friends.

Yet if the woman of the releationship were to keep their little black book and stay in touch with their past loves and "friends" it wouldn't look right. So why is there that double standard? I love my husband with all my heart but I'll never understand why he must keep in touch with women that he use to date.

Just yesterday I found a recent letter that my husband wrote yet had not been placed in the envelope to be sent out and he signed it with lots of love and miss you like crazy. In the letter he mentions how he misses seeing her and hearing her laugh and can't wait to see her again, I know if I ask what the hell, he will say it's nothing and that they're just friends and accuse me of snooping when in actuality he left the letter in plain sight and not put in an odd place for me to find it. Yet if the shoe were on the other foot he would be asking me a crap load of questions and I'd be asked not to mail it out. His sister in tow would be labeling me a cheater yet she would say I'm making too big a deal out of his letter and staying in touch.

I have to wonder if you think you would have been better off with one of your other "friends" and that's why you keep in touch with them in case our relationship doesn't work out and you need a safetynet. What happens when that safetynet finds their own life/significant other and has moved on, what then?

It's time for you to give up your little black book and grow up, stop acting like a teenager and become a man already. If you want your life at home to be magically better perhaps you should start acting more maturely. Take the responsibility you already have more seriously. Yes you can change a diaper, good for you.....now take it a step further and give your baby a bath for the first time, it's not that hard, I've shown you like 4 times already, it's not rocket science for crying out loud. Speaking of crying, when your child cries run through the check list, is the baby dirty? is the baby hungry? did the baby throw up and need to be cleaned and changed? is the baby sitting or laying on something that is uncomfortable. Does the baby need a sucky? Is the baby hot or cold and need to be dressed accordingly? Don't just look at your baby scratch your head and say I don't know what's wrong. Yes you do help out but if you'd stop having to ask me what to do next then maybe just maybe I'd be able to take care of my errands and what not early and be home at a decent time to have dinner made and put away so that your shift can end early...even though it would be nice to have a break as well, big whiney cry baby.

Just WOW!

Where to start?! Well, the day prior to my vacation I had days that I had to use up or I would loose them at the end of the year and it amounted to 2 weeks that I would be loosing so I got to take those anyway. My hubby and I didn't do much for my birthday, we stayed home had dinner and watched a movie it was actually nice.

After a few days of being on vacation I ended up having to go to the doctors because I was having some serious pains all over. There were a few things the doctor thought was going on and was going to send me off to have testing done but before she sent me on my way she wanted to test for pregnancy. While waiting in the exam room after giving them what they needed I waited and waited thinking she would walk in and tell me what I usually hear when I have stomach issuse not pregnant. Not this time, she came in and said, "you're pregnant" and had a giant smile on her face. My jaw dropped and I think I turned pretty pale, I kept asking if they were sure and she said they tested it a few times and that they are 100% certain.

Being that we couldn't figure out how far along I was she ordered an emergency ultra sound to be done asap. My dad was in the car waiting for me as he was the one that drove me, my husband didn't want me driving myself as we weren't sure why I was in so much pain. So I had to tell him he was overjoyed and shocked as I was. At the ultrasound we found out I was 7months pregnant, the tech told us our due date and if I hadn't been already laying down I probably would have needed to. Then the fun began, during my entire "vacation" I went to several different doctors trying to find one to accept me. Even though I had insurance no one wanted to take me due to the high risk factor due to the lack of prenatal care, it was like no one wanted to touch me with a ten foot pole so to speak.

We finally found a doctor that actually cares about his patients, he was shocked to learn that we had so much difficulty obtaining one. He walked us through everything that would happen, what to start expecting, and gave me a ton of tests that I had to have done to be sure me and the baby were in good health. My saving grace was that I had changed my eating habbits months prior to finding out I was pregnant, never a drinker, smoker or drug user of any kind and had begun a new workout routine which is what probably cause the pains I had as I was lifting heavy weights all over my legs, back and stomach. All in all the only thing that came up in the tests that needed change was that I'm anemic and needed to start taking iron pills. I had always been border line anemic but was told to just eat more fruits and veggies that are high in iron so that I never had to worry about taking a supplement for it. Well, that and my high blood pressure. He wanted to take me off of work for a week to see if that would help lower it but I didn't want to do that for financial reasons. He gave me a prescription for the anemia and suggested that I take only one once a day and he would follow up with me in a week to see that the dosage was enough, and it was. For the high blood pressure he warned that I needed to take it easy and find ways of destressing because high blood pressure isn't good for the baby's health or mine.

When I returned from my vacation I was more exhausted than when I had first went and to top it off the girl that went on her maternity leave did end up coming back to work. I was really hoping she could have just quit her job and been a stay at home mom. I did get to miss out on her bringing her child to the office which was neat because I don't think it's very professional to bring a small baby to an office in which you're on the phone speaking with clients and can hear an infant crying in the background. I also found out that one of the girls in a different department ended up loosing her job while I was on vacation. It was pretty messed up, she wasn't a terrible person to be around......except for when you were doing work related things with her, she could be kind of bossy and was easily excitable otherwise a sweet person.

I did have to inform my superior's that I was pregnant and let them know when I was due. Of course shock with congrats came first followed by disbelief and needing proof. Once it was established that I wasn't kidding, they wanted everyone in the office to know and I wasn't exactly thrilled about that idea. I was having enough to worry about without needing to be asked a crap load of questions from nosy busy bodies that only pretend to be nice. I just didn't want to deal with them and felt it wasn't anyone's business other than my superiors and myself. Eventually one of them found out some how and started poking around when the managers and supervisors weren't around asking if anything was new with me and kept asking if I had any secrets to share. She even went as far as saying that she was thinking of having her tubes untied so she could have another baby. (she's divorced, and single so obviously this was a joke.) It was so obvious she knew but I just played stupid and let her go on an on because I knew it was bugging her that I wouldn't confirm what she knew. One of my superiors mentioned that I should just let them all know because they are going to find out sooner or later, and because my co-worker was getting on my last nerve I allowed my superior to do it in a mass e-mail with the condition that she mention not to bug or harass me with questions about my pregnancy as I just didn't feel like disclosing any of that information to them.

Once the e-mail was read this loud girl yelled to the top of her lungs, I KNEW IT!!!! Of course questions were asked anyway because they didn't read past the she's pregnant line. I gave little information about it other than I was fine and when we expected to have our baby. Then it seemed everyday I was asked if I was ok, how I was feeling, etc. I felt like telling them to stop asking me it was irritating, it's like these people haven't been around a preggo in the office before, oh wait a minute they HAVE. I know people get excited about babies and pregnancy and all but to me it's not a big deal it's not like it's something that's never happened before, just chill and get over it already, geez.

I did have a few scares during the pregnancy due to the high blood pressure and only one of them my work was informed because I was unable to go in that day but was in the hospital instead. I didn't want to share the other times with them because it would have been like broadcasting it on the 5:00 news to everyone else in the office and I just didn't want to deal with them.

In December we had a baby shower, the following day at work I decided that would be my last day and use up my vacation time because I was exhausted and felt too stressed out to continue to be at work. At the end of the day I was officially on another "vacation". I might add it was much better than the last one. I basically used up the rest of my vacation days to ride out the wait for my delivery. It was nice but nerve racking.

My little one is now 2 1/2 months old and I haven't been back to work yet, I too took the paid family leave but now I am unemployed. I was told when my paid family leave ends I can reapply if my position is still available which I doubt it will be.....yippee! I won't ever have to go back to that horrible place ever again, and that's fine by me. Since being off of work my blood pressure is normal and I've never felt better. I will probably have to find a part time job just to help out with bills but that would be fine. Or maybe I can get a job with my husband, that would be fine too. But we will find out in a week and a half of what I'll need to do. Till then!

Ummm yeah!

Work sucks! Especially when you have to work with a two faced bitch. This girl just doesn't get it. She blabs about me on her twitter page and wonders why I'm ultra angry by her comments. Duh, you stupid hoe you don't go publicly talking crap behind some one's back and then expect that if they read it that they're not going to be angry about it. Dumb ass! It's called privacy settings use them if you don't want the person you're bad mouthing to read. DUH!

Needless to say because I made it known that I had seen it and also what I think of her, she's now not talking to me. Which is more than fine by me, I don't like stupid high school games and that's what she's trying to do. She did get promoted and then it was quickly taken away, I seriously didn't think she would last a month with her new promotion anyway. (she lasted 2 weeks at most) I was kind of thinking she would crash and burn anyway. But I guess when you purposely try to get pregnant and then can't travel which is what your new job is consisting on then you kind of screw yourself out of a job. Which sucks because that means she will be there all the time now. :-P

The only thing that is awesome is that fact that she sits further away now so that I don't have to hear her constantly eating something and snorting like the fat little piggy she is when she laughs about something retarded. I kind of wonder when she's going to get in trouble for blogging/texting on the internet at work. It's just a matter of time I'm sure. Personally I don't really care, I do my work and whatever I'm told by management which includes not using the computer for personal websites such as Blogger.

Perhaps if she didn't worry so much about me and what I do at my desk it wouldn't be so bad at work for her. She's only making herself look bad when I'm talking to the boss and she's got to throw in her two cents when she doesn't like what I say. I'll be glad when the cow goes on maternity leave, hopefully it will be for 3 months or it would be better if she would just not come back to work and just be a stay at home mom. But I know that won't happen because she has a husband that doesn't work and from what I was told before we stopped talking, he doesn't look too hard for work to begin with. I'm glad I didn't marry someone that refuses to get a job that wants to just stay on his lazy ass all day long. My husband may be lazy with household chores, but at least he's not afraid to go to work everyday and help PROVIDE for his family.

If anything I have learned her true colors and don't have to bother asking if she needs help with whatever project she has, as far as that's concerned she can go to hell. Also, should I get any e-mails from her accounts that use to be mine I'm not going to work on them. They will be forwarded and bcc'd to the boss so that she can do them herself and so that my boss knows that I've politely informed the customer that they have a new rep that will be handling their requests/issue, yup that's called CYA (or cover your ass). If she thinks she can annoy me by saying it's cold in the office she's wrong because I tune out now anyway. If she can get them to turn on the heater full blast all day then good for her, I have my small desk fan I'll be just fine. I think she tries too hard to annoy me which is probably why she keeps getting work to do. If she'd just keep to herself the boss would probably distribute the work load more evenly. But hey, if she wants to keep being a dumb ass then so be it. I'd rather read a book anyway, or do some of the easier projects. hahahahahaha

Umm yeah, this is probably why I don't get along with other women. I don't like the high school games or drama they like to bring into a "friendship" or office environment. Too much gossip, and backstabbing. Same goes for feminine men, that gossip and talk shit behind your back. I don't have time for that bullshit, life's too short! So, needless to say if you post something publicly then either watch what you say or use your privacy settings. That is all for now.

Vacation Time!!!

In 2 weeks I'll be on vacation, hurray! Although our plans for what we wanted to do has changed, even the length of time being taken but it's still good. I was planing on taking 2 1/2 weeks off and spending at least a week of it in Seattle Washington; site seeing and maybe spend an afternoon with my aunt but life sucks and shit happens in my world. My vacation has been reduced to 3 days, and I'm sure I won't be relaxing. All I can do is hope and pray for some peace and quiet so that I can craft, read, and just be. Did I mention my first day off is my birthday and we were supposed to be at Disneyland enjoying the day before going on our flight out.

So aside from going from 2 1/2 weeks to a lousy 3 days, good bye Seattle hello boring town that I already know! Instead, I'm sure I'll be running errands, cleaning, doing laundry, and making dinner......I'm pretty tempted to just take my birthday off not tell anyone and go to the movies by myself, have lunch at the Olive Garden and then go to the library and knit until I'm supposed to be home and pretend it was just another day at the office as that would probably be the best birthday spent. I'm also quite positive that I will be making my own birthday meal if I get out of bed. I think the month of October became a curse the day I was born. Everyone seems to pass away this month and it's quite annoying all kidding aside. I think this year it would be nice to just forget my birthday and try to not get my hopes up that someone will remember before it's actually my birthday and a last minute attempt to something as that usually turns out pretty crappy anyway.

If my husband reads this post, this is what I would like for my birthday:

1. I love you but I don't want to have sex, it's my birthday not your's, get over it.

2. Let me freakin sleep in, don't wake me up by slamming doors and turning on lights at 4:00a.m. It's bad enough to have to get up early 6 days a week for work but not if I'm supposed to be home for "vacation". If you do this the #1 on this list may turn into months that's a promise!

3. Make your own meals.

4. If you want to do something nice, let me watch one of my movies or programs for at least an hour uninterrupted.

5. Don't bug me to go driving all over town because you're bored. If you need something to do clean the bathroom, clean the kitchen, clean the table, etc. And if you still feel the need to drive then go, no one is stopping you. If you want a companion take the dog with you she would love to go for a ride!

I feel I'm not hard to please. I'm pretty simple and basic, I don't even want a gift....just the gift of being able to relax and do what I want at my pleasure 1 day out of the whole freakin year!!!!!! I'm assuming the only things on this list that I'm actually going to get will be #1.

Knowing that our vacation plans were made short it's just so frusterating! It's been the only thing I've been looking forward to all year long! Anytime I had to deal with a crappy customer I would think to myself this is all worth it, vacation time is coming soon and it will be a wonderful 2 1/2 weeks. HA! I shouldn't have jinxed it! Even dealing with the drama and b.s. at home I would think soon vacation time will be here and I'll be in another state for a week. Sigh!

I'm going to make the best of my 3 days provided someone lets me do what I want on my 1st day off. We shall see. So far the only positive that I can come up with is that at least I won't be at work! :-)
