In 2 weeks I'll be on vacation, hurray! Although our plans for what we wanted to do has changed, even the length of time being taken but it's still good. I was planing on taking 2 1/2 weeks off and spending at least a week of it in Seattle Washington; site seeing and maybe spend an afternoon with my aunt but life sucks and shit happens in my world. My vacation has been reduced to 3 days, and I'm sure I won't be relaxing. All I can do is hope and pray for some peace and quiet so that I can craft, read, and just be. Did I mention my first day off is my birthday and we were supposed to be at Disneyland enjoying the day before going on our flight out.
So aside from going from 2 1/2 weeks to a lousy 3 days, good bye Seattle hello boring town that I already know! Instead, I'm sure I'll be running errands, cleaning, doing laundry, and making dinner......I'm pretty tempted to just take my birthday off not tell anyone and go to the movies by myself, have lunch at the Olive Garden and then go to the library and knit until I'm supposed to be home and pretend it was just another day at the office as that would probably be the best birthday spent. I'm also quite positive that I will be making my own birthday meal if I get out of bed. I think the month of October became a curse the day I was born. Everyone seems to pass away this month and it's quite annoying all kidding aside. I think this year it would be nice to just forget my birthday and try to not get my hopes up that someone will remember before it's actually my birthday and a last minute attempt to something as that usually turns out pretty crappy anyway.
If my husband reads this post, this is what I would like for my birthday:
1. I love you but I don't want to have sex, it's my birthday not your's, get over it.
2. Let me freakin sleep in, don't wake me up by slamming doors and turning on lights at 4:00a.m. It's bad enough to have to get up early 6 days a week for work but not if I'm supposed to be home for "vacation". If you do this the #1 on this list may turn into months that's a promise!
3. Make your own meals.
4. If you want to do something nice, let me watch one of my movies or programs for at least an hour uninterrupted.
5. Don't bug me to go driving all over town because you're bored. If you need something to do clean the bathroom, clean the kitchen, clean the table, etc. And if you still feel the need to drive then go, no one is stopping you. If you want a companion take the dog with you she would love to go for a ride!
I feel I'm not hard to please. I'm pretty simple and basic, I don't even want a gift....just the gift of being able to relax and do what I want at my pleasure 1 day out of the whole freakin year!!!!!! I'm assuming the only things on this list that I'm actually going to get will be #1.
Knowing that our vacation plans were made short it's just so frusterating! It's been the only thing I've been looking forward to all year long! Anytime I had to deal with a crappy customer I would think to myself this is all worth it, vacation time is coming soon and it will be a wonderful 2 1/2 weeks. HA! I shouldn't have jinxed it! Even dealing with the drama and b.s. at home I would think soon vacation time will be here and I'll be in another state for a week. Sigh!
I'm going to make the best of my 3 days provided someone lets me do what I want on my 1st day off. We shall see. So far the only positive that I can come up with is that at least I won't be at work! :-)

Going Around In Circles
Ok so it's like 11:30 p.m. and I should be in bed but I'm not. I'm totally bummed out about a lot of things. For example I wish my husband and I were in our own home already. We were so close to having that. But of course shit happens. My dad's company closed up and everyone was let go, and he had not been working for almost a year. My husband and I changed our minds about the house we were going to get because of the issues with it the day before he lost his job. So that put everything on hold.
My dad finally got hired on through a temp angency for working in a warehouse. And well, it's not going the way it should. His boss is a dick head, and treats him and everyone else like crap. My dad feels like he's working in a sweat shop. He has been working 12 hour + days 7 days a week for the past 3 weeks. It really sucks to see him work so hard and not be appreciated! I don't understand why people have to act like major asses when they are in charge. I hope he finds something else soon!
As for me and my husband, we both got bummed about my dad loosing his job and promised my parents to stay so that we can help them out until they are on their feet. I want to do everything I can to help them because they've given me so much as kid and as an adult. But at the same time I want my husband and I to finally be on our own. I want to know what it's like to be really free. To be able to come home to a quiet home, no tv, no loud computer, no loud music, just peacefulness.
On the weekends I would love to stay home and just do my own thing but my husband gets bored because it's not his house or his space to do what he wants to do. So we are always going out and wasting money. I would love to have our own place so that we can do what ever we want to do. At the moment I see my friends in their own places, or getting ready to purchase their first homes and I'm happy for them but so very bummed. I'm really jealous of the ones that have a house, and don't have to work because their husbands make more than enough for them to be able to stay home. I wish we could afford to do that. I'm so tired of working, and I hate my job, sometimes I wonder if it's worth it! Every other pay check sucks because my work doesn't cover his medical and his job does not give medical until he reaches full time. So it's almost as though I'm working part time just without the part time hours. I want to quit every single day I wake up, god I hate it there!
Before he lost his job my husband and I were finally debt free, our cars were paid off, and we didn't have anymore credit card debt. My car finally died and we traded it in for my new truck, so at least we weren't upside down on it. After that I guess we've just gotten bored and have given up. So of course we are now in the same boat as before, and even if my dad did get a better job we will have to stay to fix our stupidity. I'm guessing by the time we are ready to purchase a house, the housing market will have skyrocketed and we will just end up in an apartment just to have our own space because we won't be able to afford shit. Or we will live with my parents until we are 40. So that's probably going to be another 11 years, unless we all loose our sanity and end up in paded cells.

Office Temperature Complainers
There is nothing worse than sitting in an office with temperature complainers. All winter long all I could hear was it's too cold in here. And the heater would be cranked up and would get ungodly hot in here to the point of sweating. And now that it's 115 outside, everyone is crying that it's too hot! And when I say well that's what you wanted in the winter time was scorching hot heat. The response is yes I wanted it hot but not this hot. And if we have the a.c. on in the morning before we get in, everyone complains that it's too cold and they want it off. We're on the second floor of the building so of course by 11:00 am it's stuffy and warm and takes the rest of the day to cool down. It's really annoying. I think they all need to put on sweaters, jacktes, blankets mittens etc as it is much easier to warm up than it is to cool down. But that would make way too much sense. I've offered to shuttle them to the surface of the sun so that they will not be cold anymore and all I get is a dirty look, go figure, I thought that would make them nice and warm. Hell, I could say what my mom says, "How about we light you on fire, you won't be cold anymore!" But I guess that's just too morbid.
Not to mention that at 74 degrees that is the NORM for an office temperature (and if it goes down 1 degree or up a degree it's too hot or too cold to all of the crazies in this office). But what do I know. I'm the only one that would be content with it being 65 or colder outside all of the time and as someone that does not use a heater in the house or my car (unless I'm defrosting the ice from my windshield) I guess I'm the only one that's "crazy". I don't think those that bitch that it's cold should be allowed to bitch that it's hot, you can't have it both ways. All they really want to do is have something to complain about.
Lately I've been trying to not say anything since someone so nicely pointed out, I bite people's head's off that think it's too cold in here. Since my fan wore out last winter, I had to buy a new one, and now have a loud little fan. So I can turn it on for comfort and to drown out all of the whiney complainers. Ok I'll get off my soapbox now!

Wrightwood California Trip
Sunday July 12th my family and I were going to celebrate our anniversary together. I was up especially early that morning because of a dream that I had but we'll get into that another time. I was awake at 5 a.m. I took our cute dog for a walk that she needed badly. When I got home I took a quick shower and it was still really early so I surfed the web and decided that I now needed coffee because I had been up so early and we still had to get through the morning.
I drove to a local coffee shop that's open at about 6 a.m. By this time it was now approaching 7:00 a.m. I actually was not the first person there. I'm assuming the regular early birds are always there every Sunday at that ungodly hour. I finished my morning coffee and sweet roll while surfing the web on my iPod, searching for something that caught my ear so to speak. By this time it was almost 8:00a.m. and I decided that it was time to head back to the house to see if anyone was up yet.
Half way to my car I accidentally farted, it was so embarrassing! I didn't see anyone so I thought whew no one will ever know. Then I heard a little chuckle somewhere so I walked faster. I got into my car and my phone started going off, it was my hubby and he wanted me to get him some coffee too. I wanted to just die right there, I went back inside got his coffee and on the way out the door this older man had said, "I don't think you really should have that second cup of coffee." Oh gosh how mortifying! I don't think I'll ever get coffee there ever again unless someone else goes in for me.
I went home and told my husband and he thought he was going to bruise a rib or something from laughing so hard. When we were finally able to leave, we went to breakfast with my parents. Afterwards my dad wanted to take us to Wrightwood to wander around since it had been a few years since we've all been there. It's a cute little town in the Mountains kind of like Big Bear.
We went into the cutest of shops, I wish I would have known we were going there so I could have taken a camera. The view was beautiful and breath taking! We mainly did a lot of walking around.
We had loads of fun! Just before we were getting ready to leave we all decided to get something cool to eat so we made our last stop at the ice cream shop. While we sat on the covererd patio there was a small boy of about 8 years old at the most that would not listen to his dad. His dad wanted him to sit down and eat his icecream. The little boy was frusterated that he kept getting told to sit down when he wanted to run around like a wild animal. Finally the dad said very calmly, "Fine I'm going to eat your ice cream if you don't get over here." The little boy replied the most hateful look on his face, "BITE ME!"
All I can say is WOW! I don't think I would have remembered the incidient as an adult becauseI would have had the you know what beat out of me. I'm not into beating a child but I do believe a good slap or spanking would have been highly acceptable in my book. But that's what's wrong with society today. We can't so much as look at our children crosseyed without someone calling CPS on us when they have crossed the line. Which is why children have no respect whatsoever for their parents, teachers, or adults in general. My mom didn't even have to say a word for me to know when to stop whatever I was doing and behave, with one look I knew if I had crossed the line or if I was going to get punishment when we got home. To this day if I were to tell her something like that I have no doubt in my mind that she would still be able to give me a good whooping!

Porno at the car wash!
If that title doesn't grab your attention nothing will. I was at a local car wash a few weeks ago to get my car cleaned. I was too busy to do it myself and thought this would do for the time being. There was no way of knowing what a strange day I was about to have. I sat in my car for 20 minutes before some one came out to give me my ticket, which was fine because I was just listening to the radio and figuring out what other errands I had to do for the day. The guy that gave me my ticket told me it would be an hour an ten minutes of wait time. Since they have free internet and television I figured what the heck.
So, I rushed in to get something cold to drink and pay for my car wash. Luckily there was one computer open for me to surf the web while I waited. I played a few games on yahoo and chatted with a few friends. Sitting at the computer sipping my sweet ice tea I heard this little girl being very loud and annoying. Constantly saying, "mommy, mommy, mommy...." you get the idea. Finally, this mother took two seconds from her cell phone and asked, "what? I"m on the phone!" The little girl asked, "what are they doing mommy?" The mother asked, "who?" And the little girl pointed and said, "the people on tv, they look funny."
And yup that's when the mom got off her cell phone and went into a fit! Myself and a few other people turned to see what the child had been making such a fuss over and we were all quite shocked. And it wasn't just porno, it was some weird crazy type of porno. There were people in leather outfits with rubber balls stuck in their mouths as if they were going to be roasted like a pig with an apple in it's mouth. Basically I really just didn't want to see that, nor did I expect it. I guess none of us realized what was on the tv because it was a flat screen mounted to the wall above the second entrance to the place right next to the windows where you can watch your car pass through and there was no sound on it that was audible unless you were standing straight under it.
The young girl that was the cashier couldn't find the remote and was too short to reach the tv to turn it off. Appearntly from where she was standing there was too much glare from the sun of the windows from the opposite side of the room which made viewing what was on the screen impossible. Eventually one of the other customers grabbed a chair and was just barely able to reach the power button. And off it went, then on went the mothers mouth. I don't blame her, that crap doesn't have any business being on in the car wash lobby, it's not a sex shop. So while she was chewing off this girl's ear I headed to the other side of the lobby and sat under the patio where my car was being dried off. And if that mother had been outside she would have had more fire power. Not that the radio station that they had on would be their fault but there was a commercial for abstenence that wanted everyone to practice masturbation that wasn't married. There were a few people from inside that had seen what went on and were kind of chuckling and shaking their heads. It was actually kind of funny. Eventually everyone outside started laughing. Although I don't think the mother inside would have found it so funny if she were to have been out there with us. Oh well! Life, there's never a dull moment!

Down with Valentines day!
Valentines day is one of the worst holidays of the year. The greeting card industry and florist make a killing while making people feel like crap. Ever since I was a kid I absolutely HATED this stupid holiday.
When you're a kid it's not too bad, you end up passing out little candies to everyone and silly cards. But when you're the "poor" kid of the class and can only pass out either the cards or the candies, sometimes not being able to do either was just down right bad. Made you want to stay home to avoid the why aren’t you participating types of questions. (And it's not that your parents aren't hard workers, it's just that there are more important things in life such as food, water, the clothes on your back, the roof over your head and the basic necessities of everyday life that they put before the extra things. Which is what RESPONSIBLE parents do. Not that it made it any easier, but you knew it was for the best.)
As teenagers it doesn't get any better. You end up having the secret valentines, which is basically friends and "couples" buying little cards with suckers taped to the envelope on them during lunch starting towards the end of January up until the day before Valentine's day that end up being passed out during one particular period in which teacher aids, and staff members would go from room to room to pass them out. If you've ever been in a class with little miss or mister popularity they usually end up with like 100 stupid cards that are going to end up in the trash in a few days anyways. And as you listen to all of the gibberish about how in love they are with so and so it makes you want to puke. When you get to lunch with your friends, if you've had any passed out to them. But didn't receive not even one, it's a pretty awkward lunch. You just happen to be the only one they "forgot". Even though it was something everyone agreed on so that your group of so called friends wouldn't have to be left out of the stupid ass holiday in the first place. Pact my eye!
Boyfriends are no different no matter what their age is! So I'm just going to lump them in with Husbands as well. Men are all idiots! They either totally forget, even though there are tons of advertisements from the moment you get into your car until you go home to watch television. And the simple fact that it's been the same day as it's always been for YEARS! But why should that be any different than your birthday or any other holiday for that matter.
Men can typically remember those types of holidays if they're trying to get under your skirt, have only been dating them for 2 years or less, or have really fucked up and they are doing some major ass kissing. If you've been dating for more than 2 years or are married and the honeymoon is finally over with you're totally screwed and you might as well buy your own damn chocolate and call out sick. Because chances are, just like junior high and high school there is always little miss popular whether she's married or just really popular with the guys. :-P
It's like watching "The Office" when Phyllis kept getting gifts from her husband, and other women kept getting small things as well, while Pam started to get irritated that she didn't get squat. And at the end of the day when her fiancé finally showed up and she asked him why he didn't get her anything he winked and said she was getting something better than flowers, he said he was going to give her hot sex all night. (Something along those lines) She looked like she wanted to puke. I mean seriously, come on! The last thing we want to do after working all day is more work, we don't want to hurt your feelings guys but if we have to, just get it over with already and don't try to make it a marathon. It would be a lot more fun if there was actual romance to it then to have that as a constellation prize!
If it's because you can't afford to buy us a gift at least pick up a .99 cent card at the freakin dollar store. And if you do decide to get her a card, you need to read it before you buy it! Nothing more embarrassing than her opening a card for GRANDMA, or to be reading one in Spanish when you don't even speak it, duh! Or do something for us like cook dinner......that doesn't mean take out. (Ain't nothin sexier than a guy that is willing to cook, even if it doesn't turn out right and you end up ordering take out anyway.) Or rent a chick flick that she's been dying to see! Or watch one of the ones she already has, it's more than likely her favorite any way.
For the most part for women it's not about getting a gift to prove you love them. It's just about expressing how you feel about you're "loved" one. Which is how you should really treat each other the rest of the time anyway.
At the end of the day if she didn't receive anything at work, because you couldn't afford it, it would be nice to be showed how much she's loved. If you're able to hear her pulling into the garage go out there and help her in the house with her purse, lunch box thingy if she takes one, her jacket if she's not wearing it etc. If you live in an apartment and know she's not going anywhere after work head out to where she normally parks at about when she would be pulling up and do the same thing. Give her a hug and a kiss then TELL her happy Valentine's Day, you big oaf! Don't be so retarded geez! If you're just flat out lazy don't be surprised if you don't get laid that night, but hell, you're probably to lazy to really try anyway.
So to all of the Pam's out there hope you didn't have to put up with that type of crap on a work day. Hope you had a relaxing Friday and spent the night in away from that dreaded day. And if you're little miss popularity, well good for you.

Disneyland is for kids!
First off let me just say that I'm all for freedom of expression! However, when attending a place like the magic kingdom I feel that adults really need to censor themselves. Not just their language, ludeness, and implications but also in the manor in which they dress.
Ladies it is NOT appropriate to go to Disneyland wearing articles of clothing that just barely cover your privates. The children should not be exposed to your nasty body, no matter how good you or your partner think it looks. Parents don't care if you can turn heads because you look "good". If it's something you would wear to a club it's more than likely not appropriate to places like Disneyland that are made for CHILDREN. So please leave your slutty one night stand club clothes at home.
I'm saying this because the last time I was at this wonderful place for children, they allowed a hooker into the park. She wore a tight see through spaghetti strapped tank top with no bra. (And hun if you were cold it was pretty obvious what the weather would be like, you should have worn more clothing and a bra sheesh!) And if it had been cut any lower we all would have been able to see the color of her nipples. Also we don't care if you've just had a boob job and that's the reason for your attire.
As for her skirt, it was so short I feared if she bent over we'd all see the moon early, it was bad enough that you could see the bottom portion of her bum so if she was wearing any underwear at all it was just a thong, ick! Skirts should not be so short that we can tell what color underwear you're wearing if at all. She was packed in that "skirt" if you want to call it that, like a stuffed sausage. It made her look as though she had rolls hanging out everywhere and she was NOT fat by any means. It was just 10 times to small for her, I don't know how she was breathing in that outfit.
What I don't understand is how she got into the park, do they not have a dress code they are supposed to enforce? If she changed once they were inside, any of the many "crew members" should have told her to change or get the frick out. And I would have to say about a good 98% of the male crew members did check her out so it's not like they didn't see her. It was very annoying to see her at the park throughout the day dressed that way, she didn't even have a child with her. Which is probably why she didn't find what she was wearing to be offensive.
One woman was more outspoken than I would have been, she notice her husband kept turning around and when she saw what he was looking at she told him to stop looking at the tramp behind him. If the other woman heard she either didn't care or thought it was funny. (I'm guessing she heard, probably likes that type of attention.)
It was also rather annoying standing in line a few feet away from them because they really just needed to get a room. He kept putting his hand on her butt and squeezing it, it was like ok, you know it's there stop grabbing it. The one woman that told her husband to stop staring actually walked over and told them to either get a room or start acting like mature adults at Disneyland. They ignored her so she rolled up her map of the magic kingdom and started hitting the tops of their heads like dogs.
Once that got their attention she told them to either leave the park and find a sleazy 8 Motel or stop being lude in front of all of the children. (I believe we were all standing in line for the Finding Nemo ride) The tramp told her to mind her own business and soccer mom told her that their behavior was unacceptable in front of her children. The tramp told her if she didn't like it she should find another ride. To which the soccer mom told her no, why should I this is a place for children not for "quickie's" or "happy endings" in line for a child's ride. This is one place where I shouldn't have to move out of line with my children because I don't like what I see. Then a ton of women chimed in telling the tramp she had to go. I think her escort had enough, and probably didn’t want to get beaten down by a bunch of angry parents so he led her out of the ride and they went somewhere else.
I agree with both sides, we should have to see that crap in Disneyland. Yet if we had been somewhere else then we could all just leave or walk away enough so that we don't have to see it. But when at a place like that why should we! And before anyone says, "you're probably fat and unhappy with your own body." Before you start commenting rudely, I'm not unhappy with my body and I'm not fat by any means. 1. I would wear something like that, in my bedroom with my husband! 2. It's fine to be totally confident in yourself and to show off a little but I think there is a line between showing off and dressing like you're walking the streets. 3. There is a time and a place for everything. Learn it. Ok I’ll get off my soapbox now.
